Saddle Club

Saddle Club

The SCRDA Saddle Club is an accessible form of pony club open to all young people from 8 years.

It is an integrated Saddle Club meaning it has members both with a disability and without.

It utilises our centre horses so that young people without a horse of their own can still have the opportunity of participating in pony club activities and is run on Saturdays.

There are 3 levels of Saddle Club - Junior, Intermediate and Advanced. You may be placed in one of these levels depending on your age and ability level.

Junior Saddle Club will have more Volunteer support than the higher levels.

Activities at Saddle Club include catching a pony/horse, feeding, grooming, rugging, theory lessons on horse management and a ridden lesson.

Advanced Saddle Club is for those wanting to go further with their riding and is held on Saturday afternoons.

There is a waiting list for Saddle Club, so contact the Centre if you are interested.
